Mini & Mum started when my youngest was just 2 years old. As a local mum of 3, I was shocked by how little access we had to the beautiful boutique baby and maternity brands Australia has to offer. Trying to find maternity bras as someone who ended up a size 8FF? A nightmare. Same with maternity clothes. And I kept thinking… why on earth are pregnant women so overlooked? We’re talking about one of the biggest shopping centres in the region and yet there were no options for expecting or new mums. We did have one lovely local baby store, but parking was difficult, it was a little out of the way and eventually it closed down too. At the time, I was already running my other business, Starting Solids Australia, full time. Customers constantly asked where they could shop locally for our products and I had nowhere even left to approach to stock our products. Everything was gone. Local mums deserved better.
